To all who are trapping animals under the ice, I hope you are doing well!  For the trappers that are waiting for open water and the beaver run, now is the time to be checking your equipment.  Make sure you have trap tags, check all connections on your chains, and get your lure ready to go.  One of the best baits for spring beaver is fresh maple or poplar branches.  Also, for beaver, castor mounds work well for Spring trapping.
